Whether it is a therapy that is not covered, a modification to your house, a specialized piece of equipment...it all costs money. We have compiled a few organizations that can offer help.  Usually if your therapist is recommending something they are willing to help with the quotes and referrals. Let them help with the paperwork...it is one less thing for you to worry about.

Children’s Ability Fund

As one of Alberta's longest serving charities - our mission is to provide funding to enhance the independence of persons with disabilities throughout northern Alberta.  We do this by providing funding for specialized equipment.

President’s Choice Children Charity

PC  receives applications from families whose children have been diagnosed with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and various developmental delays.

Rainbow Society of Alberta

The Rainbow Society of Alberta is dedicated to fulfilling wishes for Alberta children between the ages of three and eighteen with a chronic or life-threatening illness

Wheelchair & Car Modifications

Lists funding sources for equipment, in addition to car manufacturers who provide discounts for alterations to vehicles to accommodate individuals with physical disabilities.

Good Neighbour Fund

A registered charitable organization that considers limited assistance to those individuals/families requiring support in exceptional cases not covered by other funding. The Good Neighbour Fund provides limited financial resources or assistance to individuals in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

Dreams Take Flight

This is a national volunteer charitable organization dedicated to providing the trip of a lifetime to physically, mentally or socially challenged children. With the aid of Air Canada, other national and local organizations and businesses, money is raised to make the dreams a reality in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax. Funds are not required because it can be gifted by Dreams Take Flight to other registered charities that benefit physically, mentally or socially challenged children and are within the policies adopted by Dreams Take Flight Canada.
